James Gambino’s experience includes executive positions in multinational specialty chemical companies, including Rohm and Haas Company, Elementis Specialties, and RHEOX Inc., where his technology management and marketing skills helped create new businesses that achieved market share leadership, increased revenue, and improved profitability. His extensive business experience portfolio includes alternate and traditional energy, coatings, cosmetics/personal care, electronic chemicals, graphic arts, plastics, nanotechnology, remediation, and renewable resources.

More recently Jim was Vice President, Ben Franklin Technology Partners Technology Commercialization, Physical Sciences , where he helped develop and led BFTP’s regional alternative energy strategy, and represented Ben Franklin in the DOE funded Energy Efficient Building Hub (EEB HUB) managed by Penn State University.

Jim has held management positions in Technology, Marketing, Market Research, Operations, and Technical Service. He has also successfully led joint ventures and licensing negotiations in the U.S. and Far East. He holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and an Executive MBA Certificate from Wharton School.  Jim has served as Director, Commercial Development and Marketing Association (CDMA) and Trustee, Board Member of the CDMA Educational Foundation (CDMAEF). In  2008 Jim was winner of its Golden C award for Commercial Development Excellence. He also served as Trustee of the Chemists Club of New York. Jim currently serves as Senior Advisor to Ben Franklin Technology Partners/SEP.

Steve Talis‘ diversified career spans the research lab, marketing, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and manufacturing at Rohm and Haas Company, Johnson & Johnson, ARCO Chemical Company and StarTrak Corporation. This background provided the basis for Steve’s entrepreneurial venture. He started ADPI Enterprises, Inc., a successful specialty plastics manufacturing and worldwide marketing company. As CEO and majority shareholder, Steve  managed  corporate functions, and was also actively engaged in ADPI’s  licensing, foreign sourcing, and new product development  programs prior to his successful sale of the business.

More recently Steve was COO of StarTrak Corporation, where he was brought onboard to lead a turn-around of its $20M wireless refrigerated transportation logistics tracking business. The business was successfully managed and sold.

Steve graduated from LaSalle College with a BS in Chemistry and earned his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Temple University. He has received certifications in Plastics Technology and Sales and Marketing from NYU and Mergers and Acquisitions from Northwestern University.
